Accomplishments
Scholastic Book Fair
We have completed our last Scholastic Bookfair of the 2011/2012 School Year. Unfortunately, we were not able to bring in enough sales for Pennypacker Elementary to profit in any other way other than Scholastic Dollars. Scholastic Dollars only allows us to purchase items directly from Scholastic. We were able to purchase a new bookcase for the Home & School office in order to better organize our library. After the last Home & School Meeting it was decided that we will not host another for the remainder of the school year.
This does not mean that we will never have another bookfair. The topic will be open at our last Home & School Meeting in June.
Winter Clothing Drive:
We were very successful in the Clothing Drive! We were able to provide much needed coats and winter accessories to many children and families. Thank you all for your donations, support and getting the word out!
Fall Scholastic Book Fair of 2011/2012
We had a GREAT Fall Scholastic Book Fair this year! We made $589.46 in Scholastic Dollars. The Home and School Association would like to extend a special Thank You to all of the students who came in and assisted with making sure the books and knick-knacks were keep neat and organized throughout the day and at the end of the day. Thank you to all the parents & family members who came to support Pennypacker HSA and we hope to see you all (and even more) in February for the Spring Book Fair.
Home & School / Parent Engagement Center
With a Huge Thanks to Principal Wendy Baldwin - Pennypacker Home & School Association is now located in the Parent Engagement Center! Room 102 (across from the main office)! Please feel free come in and check it out! Pass on the good news!
We will now be taking any donations you have to give to the Pennypacker Students
Kleenex - Printing Paper - Pencils - Hand Sanitizer - Any supplies from any of the
official School Supply Lists from any grade - Unused school uniforms - Anything you
feel the students will benefit from.
Back-To-School-Night
Thank you all for coming out for Back-To-School Night! It was very successful with the new additions to the HSA Membership count. We also have 3 nominees for the vacant Executive Positions.
Talent Show of 2011
We had a very successful Celebration of Pennypacker Talent Show last school year. The students who participated showed great initiative, dedication and worked very hard. These students sacrificed their free time at the school and at home to give the best performance they could.
Scholastic Book Fairs of 2011
These two book fairs were very successful. Many students were very instrumental in the setting up, executing and breaking down of the entire Fair. Thank you to everyone who participated and we look forward to your support in this coming school year.
